About Cotillion
If you would like your children to meet new friends, develop necessary social skills, become familiar with various social and ballroom dances, and practice their good manners in a non-threatening environment all while having fun, then California Cotillions is the answer!
Cotillion is an invitation-only series of semi-formal etiquette parties where children are given the opportunity to learn and practice good manners in a structured environment. More than just a dance class, Cotillion provides your children the skills and self-confidence necessary to become successful in any social setting, whether it be school, family, or business-related.
Traditional and modernised good manners, the importance and relevance of interpersonal relationship skills, as well as basic social dances are taught in graduated levels, progressing each Cotillion year in difficulty and variety. Each party typically consists of a short receiving line, various etiquette lessons, group dancing instruction, refreshment service, and a fun party game or friendly contest. Upper level classes feature more advanced dance steps, greater independence, and increased opportunity for personal interaction and growth.
Parental involvement and support is crucial to the ongoing success of Cotillion, with volunteer patroness boards performing the vital invitation and acceptance process, and hosting the individual parties throughout the season.
