The Bay Cotillion is a multi-year program offered to public and private school students in 5th through 8th grade residing in Newport Beach and surrounding communities. Membership is by invitation only and limited to space available.

Re-establishing a Newport Beach tradition , Cotillion events are conducted at the historic Grand Ballroom at the Balboa Pavilion on Balboa Island. Built in 1906, this landmark ballroom has been the site of bathing beauty parades, a bowling alley, big band concerts, and countless formal dances.

The Cotillion season comprises six dancing parties emphasizing manners, social graces, and basic social dance skills. Refreshments, games, and various instruction and activities are enjoyed. During the annual Holiday Party, parents are invited to attend and participate with their children. For the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grade class, one evening is a formal Dinner Dance, where table manners will be learned and practiced during a deluxe, full-course meal.
